A Moroccan Riad in Milan
Scenic opulence in a whirl of exotic allusions, clamorous arabesque and elegantly lavish displays. No concessions to Western minimalism - the atmosphere is Imperial in this enclave in Milan where everything is strictly Moroccan. Opened in 2004, the Riad occupies an open space in which charm, emotion, hospitality and harmony blend with decor characterised by warm gold, bronze and copper in a mosaic of sensations. All set on three floors tastefully furnished with unique pieces imported from Morocco.
On the ground floor is a wall of water that disappears beneath a slab of glass, which serves as a stage for live music and fusion dances, amidst the glitter of the mosaics. During dinner and late into the night, versatile, multi-talented artists perform in a synthesis of experimental, modern and traditional Oriental dance.
A double flight of glass stairs leads to the upper floor, with areas for private functions, two galleries furnished with round tables in carved soft wood and comfortable sofas covered with multicoloured fabrics. Overlooking the whole scenario, large, bright and colourful lamps hang from the ceilings at the very top of the building, where smokers can benefit from an exclusive smoking lounge - an actual cigar club, complete with humidified lockers where regular guests can store their cigars.

In the middle of the ground floor is a wall of water that falls to the floor, disappearing beneath a slab of glass, which acts as a stage for belly dancers and musicians.
On the upper floor are two galleries furnished with round wooden tables and padded sofas and, overlooking the whole scenario, lamps with magical colours and lights hanging from the ceilings.
A glass staircase leads to the top floor and the cigar room, a cosy area with fireplace and decorated fountain, cushions and fine fabrics, where guests can relax, chat and enjoy the various assortments of cigars, spirits and chocolates.
